About this event

KALEIDOSCOPE

A spectrum of movement and sound

Presented by Ventana Ballet & Austin Camerata

The Experience:

KALEIDOSCOPE is a colorful adventure of patterns and themes, spotlighting living voices in musical composition and dance choreography. In their second annual collaboration, Ventana Ballet and Austin Camerata celebrate ever-changing perspectives that make contemporary music and dance what they are today. Each year, it's a completely different show!

Doors open 30 minutes before show time, where guests can enjoy refreshments from the "colorful" signature cocktail bar in the beautiful KFMA lobby.

Inside the Draylen Mason Music Studio, dancers and musicians perform just inches away from the audience in this intimate experience.

Tickets include complimentary drinks & parking.

More Info About the Show:

KALEIDOSCOPE features a vibrant mélange of ballet, contemporary, and modern dance, intricately paired with musical selections for a string quartet that performs live on stage alongside the dancers.

This year's program features 5 new works by 4 local ATX choreographers: AJ Garcia-Rameau, Navaji David Nava, Tikiri Shapiro, and Ty Graynor. These works are set to music by 7 groundbreaking living composers, Basilius Alawad, Alexander Balanescu, Andrea Casarrubios, Philip Glass, Michael Nyman, Max Richter, and Aleksandra Vrebalov.
